Species Served
Lake Dow Animal Hospital is a small-animal only practice serving dogs and cats and limited services for rabbits and pocket pets.
Diagnostics, Pharmacy, and Nutrition
We have in-house bloodwork, x-ray, ultrasound, and cold laser therapy.
Our in-house pharmacy contains the majority of any medications your pet might need.
For nutritional needs, we carry Hills Prescription Diet, Royal Canin, and Purina diets.
Canine Annual Exams
Annual wellness exams for dogs include a full physical exam, rabies vaccine, distemper parvo vaccine, heartworm test, and fecal test.
Optional vaccines for boarding and grooming include K9 influenza and bordetella.
Puppies and Kittens
Puppies require a 4 shot series of distemper parvo starting at 6 weeks of age and continuing every 3 weeks. A rabies is given after 15 weeks of age.
Kittens require a 3 shot series of FVRCP starting at 6 weeks of age and continuing every 3 weeks. A rabies is given after 12 weeks of age.
Feline Annual Exams
Annual wellness exams for cats include a full physical exam, rabies vaccine and FVRCP vaccine.
Optional vaccines for cats include the FELV vaccine.
Surgery and Dentistry
We perform routine spaying and neutering, dental procedures, and mass removals.
All patients receive a pre-op exam and bloodwork (optional or required depending on age) before undergoing anesthesia.
We offer microchips at a discounted rate when done at the same time as surgery.
